Aaron Ramsey’s time at Arsenal is coming to an end. The 27-year-old’s current contract the club expires at the end of the season, and the contract talks have broken down.

BBC’s David Ornstein has confirmed that there is a good chance of him walking out for free or getting sold in the January transfer window. The Gunners withdrew their contract offer after negotiations broke down and have started to look for his replacements.

According to reports by SportMediaSet in Italy, Unai Emery has set sights on signing Piotr Zielinski from Napoli. The former PSG manager sees him as the ideal replacement for Ramsey as per the report.

The Gunners aren’t the first Premier League side to show interest in the Polish midfielder. Liverpool were once interested in signing him as well. The Reds had tabled a £11.7 million bid in 2016 while he was at Udinese, but the player opted to join Napoli.

Rumour Rating: 7/10

Arsenal in dire need of a replacement for Aaron Ramsey and Zielinski looks like the ideal one. The Polish international will work wonders in Emery’s system, and it is no surprise that the Gunners are eyeing a move for him.
