Real Madrid are looking for a squad overhaul this summer and it looks like they are ready to sell players to make space for the new ones. Napoli are reportedly trying to take advantage of this and sign Theo Hernandez.
The 21-year-old spent the current season at Real Sociedad and has impressed. Madrid have Marcelo as their #1 left-back and Sergio Reguilón as his back-up.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly happy with the two options he has and has decided to let go of Hernandez. The full-back, who was signed from Atletico Madrid 2 summers ago, is now in talks to join Napoli.
His agent, Garcia Quilon has confirmed that the two sides are in negotiations. Talking to Radio Kiss Kiss, the agent said:
“Yes, Napoli have contacted me for Theo Hernandez. Negotiations are underway.”
Quilon was the agent who took Jose Callejon and Raul Albiol from Madrid to Napoli and is now set to complete a 3rd transaction between the clubs.
Just like Theo, his older brother, Lucas Hernandez is also set to leave La Liga at the end of this season. he has already agreed to join Bayern Munich this summer after they activated his €80 million release clause.
